Alexane Roy received a grant from the Quebec Council for the Arts twice.  She composes songs that will make you laugh, others that will touch your soul.  Her first show as a songwriter and singer unveiled life stories that we could easily relate to.  Besides, she took the risk of exposing taboo subjects that are usually left aside like cancer, homosexuality, anger, etc.

She later offered Mon tricycle rouge in Quebec and Europe.  That 2nd one woman show had her own compositions and a few songs by Leclerc and Vigneault.

In 2011 and 2012, she performed her 3rd show called UN HUMAIN NU-MAIN(bare handed human being).  It was then presented again on May 3rd at the Studio Théâtre of Place des Arts.

Since then, Alexane creates events where she helps elders write songs about their lives. In relationship with the natural caregivers in a home in St-Jérôme, residents from a CHSLD wrote 7 songs from scrath, with her help, and presented a very moving concert. In another CHSLD in Terrebonne, a man far advanced in the stages of Alzheiemr's disease, had written a beautiful text about Lanaudière. She set it to music and with the help of a nurse, created a DVD with live scenes from the region. Alexane believes in the power of creativity at all ages.
